The life of Carolina
Shreve is a story of entrepreneurship.
At the young age of
12, one of Carolina’s favorite things to do was read the
“big” newspaper on Sundays – The Los Angeles Times. Unfortunately for Carolina, her family members often got first
dibs: Dad took the Sports & Business sections, Mom read the
Currents & Lifestyle sections, and her older brother got the
Comics. Carolina was
left with the classifieds. It’s
through her perusal of the ads that she learned about the prices
of businesses, homes and cars and at which point grand dreams
began to grow.
After completing
high school, Carolina moved to San Diego and promptly enrolled in
real estate classes before taking the real estate exam.
With a license under her belt, Carolina realized she needed
some years of experience before actually working in the industry,
so began several businesses of her own and learned the ins and
outs of business ownership.
When she was 30,
Carolina enrolled at San Diego State University to obtain a
Bachelors Degree in Financial Services.
After graduation, she used her degree and previous business
experience to begin consulting for small businesses and then
embarked on a new career by working for one of the largest
business brokers in town. After learning that the best way to sell businesses involves
building strong, trusting relationships with the business owners,
Carolina obtained her brokers license and began her own company.
The RIBOC Group
opened its doors in April of 2004 with just one agent –
Carolina. Now
boasting a team of 13 agents who have 50 years of combined
experience buying and selling businesses, The RIBOC Group is San
Diego’s fastest growing business brokerage. And, Carolina Shreve is a model for every entrepreneur, every
kid with a dream.
